Student Spotlight: Ronnie Sandlin

Ronnie Sandlin is originally from Tempico Mexico, and moved over to Long Beach California when he was 8 years old.

He’s become a 7-figure marketer, and has had days where he has earned over $10,000 profit in a single day.

His expertise in marketing is copywriting, which is understanding peoples psychological triggers that make them buy.

Its surprising to me that he does so well, because Ronnie almost ignores everything that has to do with tracking or optimization, instead just relying on his skill to write words that sell.

We’ve become friends over the years, and have gone to Burning Man together, as well as other events.

I did a webinar with him where he explains his approach to internet marketing.

This is a very long, and very dense webinar, so make sure you are in a focused place to watch this.

Ronnie recently bought a house in Las Vegas, and introduced me to another person who has become a good friend of mine, Keala Kenae, owner of AWOL Academy.

Keala attends a number of Ronnie’s barbeques at his mansion, since Ronnie is fairly well known amongst affiliate marketer circles.

Student Spotlight: Zon Lai

Zon is an UNBELIEVABLY successful affiliate marketer, and has actually had even more success than me!

In fact, he’s one of very few people I know who has been able to hit the magical threshold of $100,000 profits as an affiliate marketer IN A SINGLE DAY…

He was one of the students in my first cohort of students, back when the cost of my program was much, much higher, and there were far less resources available for someone to get started.

Zon actually flew out to meet me before he signed up for my program, and offered to take me out to the nicest restaurant in Las Vegas.

He isn’t the sort of person that ever buys training programs.

His attitude was that he wanted to be 100% certain that the teacher he was going to follow was ‘the real deal’ before he embarked on any education whatsoever.

He became a student of mine, and started implementing immediately.

Gene Morris is a very successful affiliate marketer, and student on mine.

Gene highly believes in the power of networking, and I actually met Gene in person (and shot this video with him) when we met at a marketing conference called Affiliate Summit West in Las Vegas.

Student Spotlight: Anthony Prieto

Anthony Prieto is a student of mine from Brazil.

He was fairly young when he started learning from me, and had his first child on the way, so he had a massive drive to earn more money to support his family.

He learned very quick, and credits constant implementation with his success.

He was advertising on a native advertising network called Content.Ad

Since then, he has been able to move his family up to the US, and is now living in New York City.

Super-Affiliate Spotlight: Carlos Cruz

Carlos Cruz is a true super affiliate.

At the age of 18 he earned his first commissions online.

At the age of 19, he had saved up enough money to move out of Guatamala, and to Chicago, where his mentor was located.

At the age of 21, he was earning $100,000+ per month and again moved, this time to Hollywood, where he and a few other young entrepreneurs rented a mansion, and started living the high-life throwing parties, getting bottle service at top clubs, and dating models.

When we first met a few years ago, at a Santa Monica coworking space, he wasn’t earning nearly that same amount, and we both didn’t introduce ourselves for a while because he thought I was very loud, and I thought he was weird.

We would end up becoming great friends, and I was privileged to be one of the best men in his wedding.

Carlos has broken through many barriers to get to where he is today, and has an entire affiliate marketing operation, with over a dozen employees, that promotes primarily business opportunity (bizopp) products through Facebook ads and Google Adwords, and earns him over $1m per month.

He works incredibly hard, and with the income he earns is able to help take care of his family members in Guatamala.

He is not one to talk about his success much, is very underground, but I got him to talk a little bit about how he got to where he is.

This interview is from a few years ago, when Carlos has just again started building up his affiliate marketing business, after spending a few years off, traveling the world and being a DJ.

Pay attention(!) since Carlos is likely the most successful affiliate that I have gotten to openly speak about his success.

A few notes about Linkedin Ads:

• They have bid floors. Until they remove this, it makes it hard to get very low CPCs, so its important to focus as strongly as possible on being hyper-targeted.
• Use automated bid management; this will help you get lower CPCs
• The native ad unit works better than the text ad unit in my experience.
