This is an interview with 6-figure per month super-affiliate student of mine, Luis Nakamoto, on how he got started in the industry, how he became successful, and how you can too.
Luis Nakamoto’s family is from Peru, and opened and managed a Peruvian restaurant in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles.
You can say he was raised by entrepreneurs!
Luis was meant to go into the family business, and take over his family’s restaurant, and help grow the business.
People in Los Angeles love South American food, so it seemed like a perfect fit.
But he knew he was destined for something more.
Luis knew what it took to manage a restaurant, and knew he had more potential for himself, and his life, than managing a brick-and-mortar business.
Luis didn’t want to be pigeon-holed into a fixed-location career, and the weighty expectations of his family for the rest of his life.
The problem with traditional businesses are many…
…you have to manage employees
…you have to be at work every single day
…you don’t have the freedom to be wherever you want
…you dont have the freedom to work when you want
…your business’ growth is dependent on hiring more people
…your business’ growth is dependent on being in a fixed location
…its expensive to grow and open new locations
…it takes a lot of time and money to change the business, order new equipment, train new employees, and comply with new government regulations
In short, its a complete nightmare to manage a ‘traditional’ business, and the profit potential is low.
Why do others go into traditional careers?
For most people, they simply dont have a path to follow.
Luis started working for a great technology company in his local area, and thats where his first exposure to affiliate marketing began.
He saw the owners of his company making millions of dollars per year, selling products online, and having their systems run most of the business for them.
You may have actually seen the owner of the company he worked for on a TV reality show called ‘Lucky Bastards’.
His ‘boss’s name was Craig Clemens, a 31 year old entrepreneur who traveled the world, and had homes in Los Angeles, and Manhattan among other places.
His ‘boss’ enjoyed a fun bachelors life of women, gambling, traveling, extreme sports, high-profile networking…
…all without ever having to come into an office!
How the hell is that possible?!
It is.
And you’re going to be shown how, when we go into the skill-building portion of the course on ‘copywriting’.
All Luis’ boss did was write an advertisement once per year…
But he wrote the best-damned advertisements you can imagine.
Luis’ boss is currently the best copywriter in the world.
Luis’ boss runs a $100mm+/year company, and is able to enjoy life on his own terms.
Luis saw this, and knew that if he could only make 1% of what that company made, he would be rich.
The problem was that no-one was available to train him on how to become successful like his boss was.
The company only wanted EMPLOYEES, because EMPLOYEES that dont know the secrets to success are easier to control, easier to manage, and you can pay them FAR less.
So Luis quit.
He went through a number of opportunities to make money online, and tried to follow many systems to become successful, but none of them worked out.
Eventually, he became a student of mine.
He was hungry.
He didnt sleep.
He worked his butt off.
He was profitable within 2 days of applying my marketing methods, and has never looked back since.
